Viral Coupon

A network of beauty salons used to rely on paper flyers to attract new customers. In order to reduce the marketing costs and increase the efficiency of acquiring new customers, they turned to PassPoint to help them switch from traditional printed collateral to electronic coupons. PassPoint enabled social and viral distribution channels for these electronic coupons to attract entirely new categories of visitors to the salons.

Both new and existing clients receive a discount on salon services: the new customer and the existing customer who shared the coupon. The salons are distributing the electronic coupons to their regular customers weekly and are converting the walk-in traffic via advertisements with the QR code of the coupon in the salons. The coupon installed in the smartphone can be easily redirected to friends via email, sms or through social messengers.
